This was my first time going. I wanted to take the Latin dance class so I went all excited, but left quickly after because I wasn’t allowed to take the class because I wore a mask. I told Christy that I had an autoimmune disease and wore one because it kept me safe. She said that “wearing masks while exercising wasn’t healthy.” This is a load of..poo. I’ve studied nutrition and physiology and exercise science and know this is not true. People wear masks while exercising so they can perform better at higher altitudes. Plus, I told her I had literally just finished taking an hour long ballet class, with a mask. I said I really wanted to take it, but if she wasn’t going to let me then I would go. She said “thanks for understanding.” Isn’t it my choice whether I want to be “healthy” or not? Isn’t it my choice to protect myself and wear a mask while enjoying a dance class? I was very upset. I am giving my experience a -1 out of 5 stars. That wasn’t professional and she’s spreading false information. I won’t mind trying other activities here, but I will not take a class from her.
