Hurricane, UT

The American city of Hurricane is located in Washington County, Utah. According to projections from the 2020 US Census, it had 20,036 residents. The easternmost region of the St. George Metropolitan area is the Hurricane valley, which is becoming into a popular tourist destination for visitors to Zion National Park. While all of southern Utah continues to undergo major population expansion, Hurricane is noted for its historic peach and pecan orchards, open space, green fields, and small-town charm.

Economy

Utah SR-9, a refurbished version of State Street, is the only major boulevard in the area. The shopping area is classified as a "historical district" and is located between 100 East and 400 West. The National Registry of Historic Homes contains listings for many of the bigger homes in the community.
